SUMMARY: GROUNDFLOOR is looking for a talented Content & Social Media Manager to join our fast-growing alternative investing platform. In this role you will develop and execute content strategies that educate retail investors about alternative assets and drive user acquisition and engagement. The right candidate will be energetic, creative minded, well organized, witty and self-motivated.   • You are passionate about social media, understand the platforms, understand the users/target audience, and understand how the right creative translates to avid followers and brand advocates.
  • You love to work with partners to tell stories about Groundfloor’s products that build  brand awareness and drive growth .
  • You have a dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions.
  • You are a self-starter and thrive when building something new and taking full ownership of the results.
  • You have a keen eye for content and you can quickly understand what type of content is meaningful, appropriate and useful in each situation or each platform.

A DAY IN THE LIFE: 

  • Create compelling, financially-savvy content across multiple formats including blog posts, social media, newsletters, videos, and webinars.
  • Develop an editorial calendar and content strategy aligned with investor education needs and our business goals. Identify areas of opportunity.
  • Keep a pulse on new communications tools and tactics and seek new opportunities to reach target audiences.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and growth teams to create content about our products.
  • Analyze content performance metrics and optimize based on data insights.
  • Utilize key customer and behavioral data to drive compelling and relevant customer communications strategies that drive business impact.
  • Stay up to date on alternative investment trends and regulations to inform content strategy.
  • Execute and maintain our brand tone and messaging in social media.
  • Grow our customer base by providing them with regular, helpful content that works to educate them on alternative investments.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day community management across our owned social channels – Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit, and YouTube. Contribute content and manage the internal Groundfloor blog.
  • Convince others that your creative ideas are worth investing time and effort in. This role is at the core of the marketing team, and others will rely on your work every single day.

Requirements

YOUR EXPERIENCE + A FEW NICE TO HAVES:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in content management, ideally in fintech or finance.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to explain complex topics simply.
  • Strong understanding of personal finance, investing, and alternative assets.
  • Experience producing content related to investing 
  • Knowledge of major social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, Bluesky, etc
  • Experience creating and implementing effective content strategies
  • Experience creating visuals for your content using tools such as Canva, Figma etc
  • Strong writing experience and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis
  • A self starter who can use cutting edge tools to maximize their impact
